A client recently asked me to check their WordPress website in Internet Explorer 8 so I set about starting up my Windows computer environment and testing the site. After making several test on the site, I found no issues.
I had initially thought they meant Internet Explorer 8 on XP, whereas they meant run Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7, so I had to find a method of running IE8 on a Windows 7 computer, as I already had IE9 running on Windows 7 my thoughts were towards either removing IE9 and installing IE8 or downgrading IE9 to IE8. I found the best and most simplest method to be downgrading IE9 to IE8.
Running on a Apple computer and using VirtualBox for my Windows environment, I have a Windows 7 computer running with Internet Explorer 9, so here is a quick video on how to downgrade Internet Explorer 9 to Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7.
